Release Notes
DisplaySync ships as three runtime components — the desktop sign, the web dashboard, and the mobile app — and each has its own version cadence. The desktop sign in particular has a hard freeze window during live events: the production tag does not move while shows are running.
Release notes are split per component to keep that signal clean. One combined changelog would be noise.
Versioning policy
- Semantic versioning for all three components.
- Backend deploys are independent of desktop sign tags. The backend is wire-compatible with at least the previous two desktop minor releases.
- Desktop production freezes during active event windows declared on the org. Staging continues to roll forward.
- Mobile ships to the App Store on iOS; the Android app is in closed testing. New builds are pushed when ready and reach devices through the usual store update path.
